A collection of pieces born of a dialogue between artist and artisan
These collections are numbered series of 30 units. Our first collection was created in collaboration with artist Antonio Ballester Moreno (1977). Antonio Ballester Moreno’s work is based on the idea of creation as discourse. His creative content is inspired by the most basic elements of our nature and culture, and he seeks ways to transform our gaze. He works directly with artistic and creative manifestations considered as minor or amateur art, placing these on the same level as so-called high art.
Antonio Ballester has held exhibitions at the Leandro Navarro and Maisterravalbuena galleries in Madrid, aiming to recover the essence of the pioneers of the Vallecas School. In addition, he has exhibited his work at the 33rd Sao Paulo Biennial, The Hole in New York, Peres Projects in both Berlin and Los Angeles, MUSAC in León and La Casa Encendida in Madrid, among many other venues.
